Default Nachos Build or JPC Build

A Fresh Post of my Build.. Once the wrinkles get ironed out. I will be make a Chassis or two out of Titanium.

The first Prototype was ran in Comp 5, with no run time before hand.. During that Comp it handled very nicely an I had no issues. So I did not make any drastic changes it to. Although, I did make a few minor changes.

http://s257.photobucket.com/albums/hh22 ... 20CHASSIS/

1.) The most In-board holes on the vertical support was moved out-board very slightly.
This Change gave me a little more clearance from the VF dig linkage and the Spur Gear.
These holes where put their just incase I wanted to use a Stiffener (Traxas Turn Buckle).

2.) The most In-board holes on the lower Horizontal Support or Base. These holes where also moved out- board. This gave me more control over the location of Transmission.

3.) I countersunk all the lower holes on the lower Horizontal Support.

4.) I had some new links mounts made. These are much narrower from front to back then the first ones. I did this for a couple reasons.
A.) It gave me more clearance for the servo horn.
B.) Running longer Upper Arms, get to me closer to the length of the lowers.

I'll post the Pictures as they come.

AX10 Axails
AX10 Steel Lockers
Custom Chassis & Link mounts
Goat Motor and ECS
VF Dig

I'll just be getting my chassis set during or after the GTG on Sat. I'm trying to get Nachies to come up to it. If he does, you can check out his prototype  It worked sick at Keechelus, and he goes to three friends almost everyday with it to test... Looks like a promising chassis set

Last night I started my Skid Plate. I only had a few minutes to work on it, so it's not finished. The Skid will run the full lenght of the chassis with a shelf on both sides. This is where the chassis will rest.

This picture is what the finished part will look like on each end.

Looks good dude! Can you fillet the transition from the bottom to the ramped up face? Even if it was just a .25 R it will slip on the rocks much easier
I know you not done yet... Just my two cents

Crap I put up the wrong Picture.. I'll fix that..

Any Ways, At this time I don't have the right router bit to do the job. I just haven't been able to find the time this week..

But the knife edge will be gone once the Skid plate is cut. I'll put the part on the sander. It worked well on my last Skid plate.

The new picture has been fixed.. I got rid of the channel in the bottom of the skid and the fillet has been added.

The little lip below the chassis plates takes away a little belly clearance

Are you still doing the skids like that?
